Maybe you want your child to feel more confident, make friends or find an activity they enjoy. Maybe you are looking for a workout, self-defence skills or a new challenge of your own.
You can start here as a beginner. Our instructors help you learn the movements, understand the routines and find your place in the class.
Respect is part of everyday life at Rei. It shows in how we greet each other, listen, work with a partner and care for our training space.
Students are encouraged to ask questions, keep trying and recognise the progress that comes with practice. You do not have to get everything right on your first day.

Meet the people who will welcome you, explain the basics and help you take the next step in your karate.

Tell Kevin who the class is for and which day works for you. He will help you choose the right group and confirm your visit.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring water. We will introduce you, explain the class routine and help you try the basics. No karate experience is needed.
After class, ask questions and tell us what you thought. If you would like to continue, Kevin will explain the membership options and what you need. There is no pressure to decide on the spot.
We train at 59 Maple Ave, Barrie, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Choose the age group below to see what the classes are like.

My children and I joined Rei Karate-Do together a few months ago. We are blown away by the quality of the instruction, and it's amazing to see how much everyone has improved!

My family is absolutely loving classes at Rei Karate-Do. We really appreciate the welcoming environment and that a lot of the lessons are taught in Japanese: I highly recommend Rei Karate-Do!
